When will we say "enough"?
Standing Together renews its campaign to refuse war.
We are on the verge of even more bloodshed and death. As Netanyahu and his extremist coalition push ahead with a terrifying plan for occupying Gaza, Smotrich is again threatening annexation of the West Bank, which can only make official what so many Palestinians already experience on the ground. We know that our job, as Jews and Palestinians who live here, is to refuse to accept this reality and to resist it in every possible way.
That’s why we’re leading the public opposition to these horrors, and the anti-war movement is growing stronger every week. We know that we have the collective power – and responsibility – to end this by refusing the starvation, displacement, and bombardment of Palestinians. So we launched a campaign urging everyone in our society – including soldiers – to refuse illegal orders to occupy Gaza. This refusal in Israeli society is essential to grind the war to a halt – if no one accepts this reality, there can be no war.

On Wednesday, we demonstrated with hundreds of thousands of Jews and Palestinians in Jerusalem against this criminal government and demanded an end to this genocidal war once and for all! We can’t continue like this any longer! We said loud and clear: This reality is horrific for Palestinians and the Israeli hostages, and the death and destruction our government is causing cannot make anyone safer.
Last week, we organized a motorcycle convoy demonstration through Palestinian cities in northern Israel, including Sakhnin, Tamra, Nazareth, and Baqa al-Gharbiyye. We cried out loudly for everyone to take to the streets against the atrocities that our government is carrying out against Palestinians in Gaza.
When we engage in meaningful disruption that pushes everyday people in our society to act, we have the power to truly change the status quo.
For our extremist government, normal routine in this terrible reality is key to continuing the annihilation of Gaza. When we continue on with regular life, we make it easier for them to carry out their horrific plans for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and for all of us.
