Standing Together activists break onto set of far-right TV show

Yesterday [10 September] we broke onto the live broadcast of “The Patriots,” a popular show on the far-right, pro-Netanyahu Channel 14! We cannot allow the media to continue to defend the horrors our government is carrying out in Gaza – a full occupation of Gaza would be completely catastrophic for Palestinians, for the hostages in captivity, and for all of us for years to come. Every week we organize mass rallies as well as direct actions to disrupt the daily routine in our society because we refuse to let this be the new normal. We have to put an end to this.
And we’re growing. This week we launched a new local chapter in central Israel, a space where people can come together to organize for an end to the war, peace, and justice. Each new chapter means more communities joining the struggle, more people refusing to sink into despair, and more voices insisting on a different future. Alongside our protests and our disruptions of the far-right propaganda machine, our movement is growing stronger, and more determined every single day.
We’re also continuing to protest against this government’s war of annihilation in Gaza and for the hostages. This week, in Jaffa, we stood together in silence, holding the faces of Palestinian children killed in the war on Gaza. We held up their pictures to mourn and pay respect to over 19,000 children who have been killed, and to stand against this bloody reality.
It was another harrowing week – from a shooting attack in Jerusalem that killed 6 people and injured 21, to evacuation orders for over a million Palestinians in Gaza city who have nowhere safe to go, to two Palestinian children killed by the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank – we were inundated with catastrophes. Meanwhile, our government is showing us again what it really wants. By striking Hamas officials in Qatar in the middle of negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage deal, Netanyahu’s messianic coalition proved that they are not interested in bringing back the hostages or ending the war. They are clinging to more escalation, occupation, and bloodshed as their only political plan.
We know that our leaders are not protecting us; they are not interested in our safety. They are dragging us toward more bloodshed, fear, and despair to save their own seats. If we want life instead of death, we must do everything we can to put an end to this nightmare.
And against all odds, our grassroots movement is growing every day and meeting more and more people in our society who refuse this horrific reality, who are joining us in the fight against it. The anti-war movement is huge, and we’re leading the public in transforming anger and fear into hope through action every single day.
