Photos from 10 February day of action against social neglect of Palestinian communities
Standing Together called for a day of strikes and protests against the social neglect of Palestinian communities, which has allowed a violent crime wave to take place.
Standing Together writes:
Last week, together with bereaved families we organized a massive show of force across the country – thousands of Jews and Palestinians protested the crime epidemic tearing through Palestinian communities in Israel. We turned the public conversation toward the crisis – which our extremist government is deliberately ignoring in an attempt to keep Palestinian society weak. This is the same government and system of oppression that is deepening the annexation of the West Bank, backing settler violence, and continues to occupy 53% of Gaza and block essential aid and supplies from its citizens. When we organize against it, we are building power to change it. We’ll keep fighting, Jews and Palestinians together, until we all have real safety, freedom and equality.
Watch our powerful day of disruption through photos that capture the protests, strikes, and acts of civil disobedience that we organized from morning to night:

This was a powerful day, but we have a long way to go to fight the intolerable violence. Fifty-five people have been killed in the first 49 days of this year alone, and this crisis requires all of us in the struggle for a free, safe, and equal future. Because all of us deserve that.
