UK Friends of Standing Together

Join us in Nottingham on 25 January

Notts Friends of Standing Together holds its next vigil from 1-2pm on Sunday 25 January.

Above: Purple poster advertising a “Vigil for Peace in Israel–Palestine.” At the top is a wide photo of a mixed-age group of people standing in a city street holding purple placards calling for peace, an end to war and occupation, and the release of hostages.

Text on the poster reads: “Nottingham, Sunday 25 January, opposite Zara, 1–1:30pm.” Large slogans say: “This ‘ceasefire’ is not peace,” “End the occupation,” and “Israeli troops out of Gaza.” Smaller text explains support for “Standing Together,” a movement of Palestinian and Jewish citizens of Israel against war and occupation and for peace, equality, and justice for all. It invites people to a solidarity vigil commemorating victims and demanding action, with the note “No flags please.” A circular “Friends of Standing Together Notts” logo appears in the bottom right.
