Despite a "ceasefire agreement" being in place in Gaza it is a ceasefire in name only. At least 400 Gazans have been killed in attacks since October of this year, bringing the death toll in Gaza since October 2023 to over 70,000. Settler violence continues and escalates in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Israel continues to occupy parts of southwestern Syria.

Standing Together is the largest grassroots movement anti-occupation movement in Israel made up of Jewish-Israelis and Palestinian citizens of Israel. Throughout the annihilational war waged by the Israeli government, they were the largest movement calling for a ceasefire, a hostage-release deal, an end to the occupation, and calling on Israelis to refuse to serve. They successfully pushed back Israeli settlers blocking aid into Gaza, ran an "Aid to Gaza" campaign, organised the largest marches for a ceasefire in Israel and much more.

Join Bristol Friends of Standing Together on Wednesday 14 January, 6pm, location tbc, where we will hear from Standing Together activists Mina Tatour and Shahar Shilo as they talk about the situation in Israel-Palestine and the importance Jewish-Palestinian co-resistance.
