Join us in Bristol on 12 October
Bristol Friends of Standing Together will hold a vigil for peace on Sunday 12 October, 3pm on College Green.

A ceasefire has now been agreed. What the ultimate outcome of any negotiations will be and how long the ceasefire lasts remains to be seen. The last two years has seen Israel pulverise Gaza, with over 65,000 people killed - this has been coupled by increased settler violence in the West Bank and the region on the brink of war.
In Israel over the last two years brave activists have resisted the siege on Gaza, violence in the West Bank and pushed their government for a release of the hostages. On Friday 3rd October Standing Together led a march against the annihilation of Gaza. And days earlier Standing Together organised a protest outside the TV studios of mainstream Israeli media channels that refuse to show the realities of Gaza.
More recently a delegation of peace activists, including members of Standing Together, met with the chairman of the AFF and president of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen. Many more countries have since recognised a Palestinian state. However much more needs to be done - governments such as our own need to stop arms licenses to Israel, accompany and lead aid convoys to Gaza, and properly apply sanctions to the West Bank and far-right politicians and groups that repress Palestinians and groups like Standing Together.
Join us to support and amplify the voices of Jewish-Arab co-resistance in Israel-Palestine. Please share with friends, family, sympathisers and others.
