Join us for Joint Memorial Day Ceremony 2026 screenings
UK Friends of Standing Together branches across the UK are hosting and cosponsoring screenings of the Joint Memorial Day Ceremony, which takes place in Jerusalem on 20 April.
The Joint Memorial Day Ceremony is organised annually by the Parents Circle — Families Forum, a binational organisation of Palestinians and Israelis who have lost loved ones to violence, and Combatants for Peace, an organisation bringing together ex-combatants from Palestine and Israel now working for peace and equality.
It takes place on the eve of Yom Ha'Zikaron, the Israeli state's official memorial event, to provide an alternative narrative, one that allows people from both national communities to mourn those they have lost, to grieve together, and to discuss how to build joint struggle towards a shared and equal future.
